All rise for the king and queen of nakedness!
Hooray! Opensesameseed has made it to its second birthday, so what better way than to celebrate with a group hug and some gratuitous nudity!?
Way back in the olden days, I said I’d try to do at least one post a week, and 104 weeks later I’ve reached a total of 142 posts, so I’ve exceeded my target in that regard. My foolish idea of doing a post a day during advent helped tip the figures in my favour, but I won’t be doing that again this year. I still don’t like xmas anyhoo…
During the past 2 years, I’ve had a total of 4124 site views, which may not be a lot in the scheme of things, but I’m pleasantly surprised that I get any, so every one is a bonus and makes the whole blogging thing worthwhile. Again those figures were recently augmented by the Hungarian UFO incident, but they all count. In the past 18 months, since the WordPress people started recording these things, I’ve had site visitors from over 70 countries, including far-flung territories such as Fiji, Lebanon and Ecuador. Obviously if you live there, you’re not far-flung, I am, it’s all relative.
I started the Group Hug to celebrate keeping the blog going for a month, then marked every milestone for the site with a new one, although it has been 12 months since the last instalment. For anyone unfamiliar with the feature, allow me to explain where the association with nudity comes from…
As well as recording all sorts of other statistics for me, the WordPress site tells me what search engine terms people used to find their way here, and some time ago after I innocently used the word ‘nudity’ as a tag on one of my posts, I started attracting people who were searching the internet for ‘nudity’. Hard to believe, isn’t it? Even harder to believe that they would be satisfied with what they found on my blog. Still, as I said earlier, they all count. Stranger yet, people searching for ‘forced nudity’ and ’embarrassment and forced nudity’ were winding up here, and I’ve certainly not written any posts about those particular subjects. I did google those terms (for research purposes obviously) and didn’t end up getting a link back to my site, instead I discovered a rather odd sub-genre of fiction. Each to their own I guess…
Since then, I’ve been cheekily slipping naked tags into my posts just to garner an extra few site hits. It’s shameless I know, but it’ll teach people to go and look for pervy stuff on the internet. Well, it wont, but they all count 😉
Sharp-eyed readers will notice that I’ve used the roman numeral depiction of 5 on my post title. The reason for that is so I can point out that it has a very vague similarity to a highly anticipated video game soon to be released called Grand Theft Auto V. What this actually means is I can now mention that particular video game in my tags for this post without feeling like too much of a cheat, and again maybe grab a few extra site hits. I’m sure the disappointment of not actually finding anything out about said game on here will be tempered by the fact that for a change I have included some genuine pictures of people with no clothes on in the post. You want another one? Be my guest…

Anyhoo…
A great big THANK YOU to everyone who has visited opensesameseed during the past 2 years, and an even bigger one to those of you who have come back more than once, liked, followed, commented, retweeted links and voted in the polls and whatever else to do with the site. It’s impossible to know for sure if I’ll still be doing this 12 months from now, but I have no plans to stop any time soon, so we’ll see how it goes.
Before the next post, I’m going to have a look at maybe giving the site a bit of a facelift. I’ve been using this particular theme for quite a while now, so it may be time to give it a fresh lick of pixel-paint, but only if I can find another nice green one (it’s my favourite colour!) I’m not entirely certain what my next post’s going to be, I’m still in my lazy/stoned period, but I have started work on a new audio post, especially since I got some positive feedback from the last one (In A Space Place.)
