Apologies for the delay, technical issues, as I suggested might happen. So here’s the first of today’s two advent calendar ‘treats’…

December 8th – Xmas movies.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

I’m just going to end up sounding old with this post. Oh well…
Xmas movies aren’t what they used to be. There’s a good reason for that though. Once upon a time there were only a few TV channels to choose from. Then one became two, two became three and so on, until now we’re “blessed” with hundreds. Then there were cinemas,  followed by videos, DVDs and now downloading/streaming. Practically any film you could wish to view is available to watch at any time of day or night all year round. The sense of occasion created by the xmas movie has been lost. Not necessarily a bad thing, just society doing its evolving thing.
I still can’t walk past a television and not get drawn in by The Wizard Of Oz whenever it’s on. I know it’s not really xmassy, but the association is still there. And even though it’s not really xmassy, here’s a youtube link for another one of my favourite xmas film…

Back soon!
